The BYA day has 5 periods adding up to a 25 period week.  The school day begins at 8.25am, and ends at 3.00pm. The pattern of the day is:-

- 8.25-9.30: Registration and period 1 - students will be marked late after 8.25am and the Form tutor has begun to mark the register.

- 9.30-10.30: Period 2

- 10.30-10.50: Assembly/Tutorial Time

- 10.50-11.10: Break

- 11.10-12.10: Period 3

- 12.10-1.10: Period 4

- 1.10-1.55: Lunch

- 1.55-3.00: Period 5 and registration which takes place in the same classroom as P5. The pm register is marked by P5 subject teacher. Students will be marked late after 1.55pm
