We are delighted that you have chosen Bishop Young Academy, and we are very much looking forward to working with you over the next five years. We can’t wait to get to know you and your family.

We have the highest aspirations for every one of our students and are here to support, stretch, challenge and nurture your child to help them achieve their full potential. We are proud of our learning community and our standards are high - we are sure this is the reason why you and your child have chosen our Academy.

The atmosphere is positive, open and friendly which allows all of our students to thrive, and the feeling of space on our modern and well equipped school site enhances the teaching and learning which exists in the school.

We educate the young people entrusted to our care by giving them a high standard of teaching and setting them appropriate challenges throughout their time with us.

We nurture our students by providing them with a safe, caring and loving environment in which to develop in self-confidence and self-understanding within the Christian family of the school community.

We empower them by giving them opportunities to enable them to recognise their potential and to express this in what they do within the school and in the wider community.
