My name is Miss Derbyshire.

This year is my second year as Year Leader but my third year working here at BYA.

When I’m not at school I love growing vegetables on my allotment and travelling to new places. I especially love visiting new countries with friends as it gives me fresh understandings of the world around me and means I get to learn from the people around me - just like we do in my year group.

You can find me in the pastoral office or around the academy where I’ll be wearing my high vis jacket!
My priority is to make sure you are happy, healthy and feel welcome in our school.

It’s my job to ensure you are being the best version of yourself you can be. That means being on time, on task and being a respectful part of our BYA family.

I will be keeping contact with parents and carers to ensure school life and home life work effectively as a team.
