Hello, my name is Miss Mahoney.
A little about me; my favourite hobby is playing/watching football. I love sport and being part of a team, I think being part of a team is important and allows people from all walks of life to work together. I have worked at Bishop Young for 3 years now and have enjoyed every moment. Bishop Young Academy is like a big family and we can’t wait to welcome you in September.
I have lots of responsibilities as a Year Leader, these include:
- Making sure the students in my year group fully embrace school life and enjoy their time at Bishop Young Academy
- Ensuring you feel happy, safe, and supported when you are in school
- Making sure you are on time every day and to lessons
- Checking on your attendance
- I am the member of staff you come to with any issues or problems so that we can find solutions
Parents and carers, I am your direct link between home and school. I am here to help you with any queries you may have about your child’s time at Bishop Young. I will look after your child from years 7 to 11 and will care and support them so they have the best experience possible at secondary school.
